Welcome to St. Pius X Cub Scout Pack 244

The leaders of Pack 244 want to provide you with current information on our Cub Scout activities and events.

  • The Pack leaders will put all activities on the website's calendar, we recommend you subscribe to the Calendar Sync feature so that all of the Pack activities are automatically delivered to your mobile device (and automatically updated if last-minutes information changes).  For more information on Calendar Sync Feature: http://www.soarol.com/guides/CalendarSync.pdf
  • If you provide us with an email address, we will also send out weekly email "blasts" with current information.
  • Like us on Facebook   We post most of our pictures on FB  ( please make sure your photo release is signed!)
  • Check the site often for the most up to date information and great links to Cub Scout resources.

    • Once there, you can enter the zip code 27408 (the zip code of St. Pius X Catholic School) and make sure the Cub Scout logo is selected.  Then click "Find a Unit."
    • We are listed as Pack 3244.  Click "Apply Now" in our section.
    • You may have to create a new account on the next page as it will reroute you to my.scouting.org.  
    • Fill out the following pages and click submit.  We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
  • Regular Pack Meeting Schedule - Pack Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 - 7:30pm in the DeJoy Building
  • Regular Den Meeting Schedule - Den Meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30pm at the St. Pius X School - 2nd - 8th Grade Building Classrooms.  On those days, the Pack will join the Boy Scouts for the first 15 minutes of their meeting while they post the flag and say the pledge of allegiance and then Dens will break out to their individual classrooms for their Den meetings.

Blue and Gold Celebration

Pack 244 Blue and Gold Celebration will be held on Tuesday, February 4th during our Pack Meeting. 

Please remember this is a potluck.

Stone Mountain was not available and fully booked the planned weekend.  

New Date is April 4th - 6th.

2025 Scouts On Skis Registration is active

Registration is active on the calendar.  Currently no one has registered for this. 
 As of 01-10-2025 - 24" - 48" Snow Base / 19 of 28 trails open.

Race Time is Upon Us - Pinewood Derby 2025 January 11th

Race time is here everyone.

If you are new this is a very competitive Pack.  In fact, rumor has it last year a member of the Pack took their car to Stewart Hass NASCAR team to have the proper camber set on the axel and another took their car to Richard Childress and had it tested in the wind tunnel.

USS Yorktown Camping Trip 2023!

Register now for this year's Battleship Trip!

April 7-8, 2023

Pack 244 will spend the night on the USS Yorktown, located at Patriots Point Navel & Maritime Museum in Charleston Harbor South Carolina.

Registration is open through this Sunday, March 5th. Register now on our website at https://greensboro244.mypack.us/node/2853 to reserve your spot! 

Cost is $88 per person, which includes:

  • Admission to the museum to tour the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, Vietnam Experience, and Medal of Honor Museum
  • “Live Like a Sailor” Program
  • Ability to sleep where sailors slept
  • Operation Overnight Patch
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Free Parking

This year meals are not provided so it’s a great opportunity to experience what Charleston and Mt. Pleasant have to offer.

NOTE Sleeping Arrangements Details from the Organization:

  • There are NO MULTI-GENDER SLEEPING AREAS. An adult chaperone must be in each berthing compartment where the youth are sleeping, so all overnight groups must include the appropriate number of female and male chaperones based on gender, number and age of youth sailors.
